July 2011 at the Zoo.

Hello sweetie doodle...
I just wanted to write about the day at the zoo. It was a fun time. When Roman and I came to pick you up. ....your hair was cut. It was so darling. You liked it too!

We drove to the San Francisco Zoo. You were a little sleepy, so you took a little nap. We saw Zebras, Giraffes, Gorillas, Penguins, Lions, Trantulas, Polar Bears and so much more.

While we walked around you would say to me..."what is that animal saying or thinking?". I would say..."oh I am big gorilla, I am walking around, I love this zoo..". And you would say. " oh nana, you don't know gorilla language." It was a great game.

You liked to call the Polar Bears ...Sea Bears.

We had such a wonderful lunch, chicken strips, fries, chips....while we were eating we could hear the peacock making a very loud sound.

We had a great time at the playground. Roman pushed you on the swing and you learned to make yourself go higher and higher. You also learned to climb up the stairs of the playground toy and step off the high edge and slide down a pole. You did excellent.

On the way out we saw the Flamingos. You like to call them Amingos....it was so cute. I got some great photos of you. You told Roman and I that you could speak "amingo language."

I love you...this was just another great day because you were born.

Hi Elliott

Nana is missing you so I am writing you a letter. I hope your first week of kindergarten went well. I know you are such a good boy. I hope you make a lot of friends and learn to read soon. I am so excited for you and all of the learning that is going to happen for you.

This weekend I am going to write a letter and post pictures from the zoo. That was the most wonderful day I have had all year. We laughed so much.

I love you so much.
Love Nana
